Website Policy

We’d prefer to be taking glam photos of you, but we need to explain our web site’s policy. So, here goes…

Who are we?

Our website address is http://westpalmboudoir.com. Based in Wellington, Florida, we offer glamour, boudoir and portrait photography to customers in South Florida’s Palm Beach County. Joe Ebert is the owner/photographer, and he can be reached directly by email at joe@westpalmboudoir.com.

What information do we collect, and why?

Information we collect may include your personal data, such as your name, email address, personal account preferences and settings if you register on our site and create a user account. We collect that information in order to maintain and support our users’ westpalmboudoir.com user accounts and to communicate with them.

We use cookies so our web servers remember who you are when you visit (and revisit) our site.

We neither collect nor retain any sensitive personal data, such as legal ID information, credit card information or banking information.

By default, our WordPress site does not collect any personal data about our visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. However some of our plugins may collect personal data.

For example, our website contains images that we really want to restrict from under-age viewers, so we ask visitors to provide their birth date in order to view some posts. Our web servers store birth date information only if you click on “Remember me”.

Contact Forms

We use a contact form plugin to make it easy to contact us through the website. When someone submits a contact form, we collect their name and any information they include in the form, including their email address. We only keep contact form submission information for the period of time from when the customer first contacts us, until their photography project is completed or until they inform us that they are no longer interested in hiring us. In either case, we do not use the information submitted through contact forms for marketing purposes.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

We do not sell or share our users’ information with anyone, except as necessary to process online payments.

Payment Methods

If you pay using our online payment method, your banking information is not stored by us, and is subject to Paypal’s Terms and Conditions.

Note: This function is not currently enabled.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We will not post your photos on our website unless we ask (and get) your express permission, in writing.

Our website may contain images that we really want to restrict from under-age viewers, so we ask visitors to provide their birth date in order to view some posts. Our web servers store that information only if you click on “Remember me”.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles or galleries on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

We use a MonsterInsights plugin which uses Google Analytics. But it’s not turned on, so we aren’t collecting any tracking data at this time.

Who We Share Your Data With

We do not share your personal data with anyone. When our Paypal function is enabled, your personal data will be subject to Paypal’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

What Rights Do You Have Over Your Data?

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
